The conference "Pathways to Sustainable Economy: A Banking and Finance Perspective" (SEBF) is a distinctive research forum that is focused on innovative banking and finance for a sustainable world. It brings together leading researchers, policymakers, academicians, and practitioners to discuss the critical role of financial innovation and sustainability in determining the future of the financial ecosystem. Financial innovation is a double-edged sword. While the advantages are abundant, so are the disruptions and problems. Catalyzing growth along with effective supervision is a tight-rope walk. It is imperative to assess the impact this leaves on the finance and banking industry and regulator. Financial innovation, persistent financial market volatility, impending crises, rising concerns for environment and inclusive development are some issues which are posing new challenges in the economic framework and latent patterns in financial markets. This conference is aimed at facilitating economic and financial discussions persistent to issues relevant to creating a sustainable economy. The conference is designed keeping five key theme areas central to the issue - Financial Institutions Fostering Financial Stability, Volatility in Financial Markets, Trifacto (Women empowerment, MSMEs and Microfinance), FinTech and Financial Innovation for Sustainability.
This SEBF conference draws participation of key stakeholders as a platform for sharing new ideas on financing MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises), examining innovative approaches for Financial Inclusion and exchanging knowledge on making financial services to be responsive to the needs of Digital, Climate-Resilient and Green Economy. Faculty members, Phd research scholars, UG and PG students and Industry practitioners are invited to submit high-quality original empirical articles (or extended abstracts) in this regard.
